In fourth grade, there were shoes called Jellies. Everybody
in my school had them. So naturally, I went home and asked my mom; she said no
instantly. But I kept pleading and prodding stating that I was the only one without.
Later, my mom came home with one pair and over the course of 3 months I had 7 pairs
total. I was in shock and asked my mom why she gave in, her response was: “My
child shouldn’t be the only one without.” From then on I knew the key to really
getting what I want from my mom.

I thought I was the only one that discovered the "key!!" Lol I used to be like this with my parents all the time. I stopped eventually, but the cool thing was was that he would just end up buying me things just because so I wouldn't have to ask anymore anyway. Being spoiled is the greatest! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know how many times that has worked for me as a kid. Keep annoying them and eventually they'll give in. Its always worked for me. I'm never going to fall for this in the future though...
ReplyDeleteThis is a shame Kalane! See this is exactly why you have all the polo that you do in your closet now! I am showing your mother this blog! Haha! My spoiled child, you are quite hilarious.
ReplyDeleteKalane, I loved Jellies! They were the coolest shoes, but they gave me terrible blisters. The ones in your picture look exactly like the ones I had! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThese shoes really take me back! I remember having them when I was in elementary school too, a hot pink pair that I begged my mom for as well. I wished begging still worked! Haha.
